The Cookley and Caunsall Action Group (CCAG) was formed in 2017 following local consultations regarding Wyre Forest DC’s Local Plan. The community got together to save the Green Belt due to the threat of potential developments in and around our villages. Villagers also felt strongly that Cookley’s identity as a village should be preserved. We are going from strength to strength as more residents join and support us.
The CCAG committee is made up of a group of local residents, with sub groups formed to deal with each issue. Members of the community are welcome to attend any of our meetings.
CCAG are committed to working together on:
– Developing the first Community Land Trust in the Wyre Forest District, to address local housing needs.
CCAG are committed to spearheading local campaigns focussing on issues that affect our community including:
– The Lea Castle Development
– The proposed quarry on Lea Castle Farm
– Improving bus services for the village
We always looking for new volunteers to join, so please get in touch if you can offer a little of your time. It is a chance for us villagers to get involved and have a say in what happens.
